No Sew Bunny

No-Sew Bunny

No Sew Bunny Crochet

The inspiration for this No-Sew part of this bunny came from the sheer amount of crocheters commenting on how much they dislike sewing.
The bunny inspiration, however, came from a very cute picture drawing I saw on Pinterest. It was of a bunny holding a phone in a bunny case, wearing a bunny hug (hoodie), bunny slippers, standing next to a bunny bag. It was VERY adorable!

The next plan for this bunny is to make bunny slippers and a cute little hoodie. So check back for an update on bunny attire!

About The Pattern

The pattern is worked in continuous rounds.

Their is NO turning chains at the beginning of any rounds.

(__,__)x#rep = repeat the set number of stitches that many times.

**Example: (sc, inc)x6rep means repeat (1 sc, 1 inc) 6 times for a total of 18 stitches.

(#sc, inc, sc) = Single crochet the number of stitches # says, next increase once, and finally single crochet once. Then repeat the sequence again however many times x#rep says.

The only time a slip stitch is used in this pattern is when the item is being fastened off and in Round 12 of the body/legs. The slip stitch is used to attach one leg to the other.
However, the slip stitch in Round 12 will be ignored in Round 13. In Round 13, 1 single crochet will be stitched into the same stitch as the slip stitch. If this confuses you don’t worry! Pictures are provided to hopefully clear up any confusions. But! If you do find yourself confused at any part of you crochet bunny journey, please, reach out via commenting on the post or emailing me. I’m always happy to help!

This pattern can be made as a no sew bunny or you can skip the last step of single crocheting the arms and ears closed. If you choose to leave the arms and/or ears open then you can either sew them in the same spot they would be crocheted into the bunny or wherever you feel looks the best for your bunny.

I chose to use a gradient yarn for the more colourful bunnies, but you can use whatever colour you’d like for the ears, and even the body!

Get creative with it!

Finer Details

If you chose to sew the arms and ears to the body please do so now.

Next add the facial details.

Starting with black yarn, sew on the nose. I lined up my nose so it’s at the bottom edge of the safety eyes with 1 stitch in between the edges of the eye and nose. Next, add a smile, and a line connecting the nose to the mouth.

For the finishing touch, add pink blush marks.

I placed mine directly under the eyes.
